Karrson Koivisto, Product Manager at Gerber, unveiled the company's impressive collection of new knives and cutting tools at the Shot Show 2020. The standout product seemed to be the 'DoubleDown' tool, a unique, never-before-seen item that exploits elements from butterfly knives but provides more stability and safety. The DoubleDown is a multi-use tool that serves as a machete, knife, and ax. Other items covered included the 'Principel' born from various bushcraft courses, the all-around utility 'Fastball Cleaver', and the 'Flatiron', which now comes in a new D2 and Micarta version.
For the hunting enthusiasts, Gerber is releasing a range of tools that includes the 'Exo-Mod' and the Randy Newberg 'EBS' and 'DTS' tools. The Exo-Mod simplifies a hunter's gear selection by providing a modular sheath system that can carry various tools according to the user's needs. Meanwhile, the Randy Newberg collection provides the EBS (Exchangeable Blade System) and DTS (Dual Task System) tools that have been refined through real-world hunting experience and are designed for durability and longevity. All Gerber's latest offerings emphasize a balance of function, safety, and design intricacies that gear enthusiasts will appreciate.
