Despite this, he was curious to find out if any of the more ethical coffees tasted good.

The tester found that some of the coffees had redeeming qualities, such as a little bit of sweetness or tasting of something other than harsh, cheap coffee. The winner was determined to be the one with the most interesting flavor, a bit of chocolatey sweetness, and the least amount of harshness and bitterness.
